HMG HEDGE THEIR BETS WITH NEW QUALITY TENANTS

Leading North West property company Hollins Murray Group Ltd (HMG) has secured two high profile new lettings at the Gerard Centre in Ashton-in-Makerfield. The well established betting chain William Hill and the increasingly popular discount retail chain Quality Save have agreed new rental leases of 20 and 10 years respectively.

The 63,000 sq ft Gerard Centre is a modern purpose built town centre retail development, currently comprising 20 units and anchored by a Somerfield supermarket with tenants including major retailers such as Subway and Boots. HMG has owned the centre for over ten years and has asset managed the scheme to alter the tenant mix over the years and drive rental levels forward.

Andrew Murray, Chief Executive of Hollins Murray Group comments: “We are delighted to be associated with such strong retail brands as William Hill and Quality Save who have both agreed new leases at the Gerard Centre. The tenant mix answers the needs of local shoppers and we anticipate that these additions will assist in increasing footfall to the Centre.”

In the last year alone, HMG has completed investment acquisitions at a number of prime retail locations including Wrexham town centre, Burton Place Shopping Centre and Manchester’s fashionable King Street.
